The Learning Well Facilitator provides personal and professional development coaching, in a group or individual setting, and ensures the integrity of services of The Learning Well by adhering to all program requirements, performance improvement and ethical standards. Work includes the facilitation, or co-facilitation of workshops, including the preparation for workshop facilitation, mentorship of facilitators in training, and personalized one-on-one coaching support for participants and staff.
Accountabilities Include:
Performs Essential Job Duties of Coaching

Develop and implement a screening process to identify an individual's desired area of focus for coaching sessions.

Adheres to the International Coaching Federation (ICF) code of ethics in all coaching interactions, and ensures processes remain sensitive to the individual's identity, environment, experiences, values, and beliefs.

Supports individuals in creating a personal, values-driven mission statement for their work.

Offers personalized, one-on-one coaching to help individuals identify their own strengths, weaknesses, and inspiration.

Assists individuals in clarifying their professional career pathways and goals, and develops effective strategies to reach those goals.

Develops customized coaching plans that support individuals' overall effectiveness, help them understand and capitalize on their individual strengths and values, and identify and change self-limiting beliefs.

Provides confidential coaching support related to the balance of work responsibilities and builds resilience skills.

Contributes coaching content and methods for workshops and other programs, including leadership training, Human Resources training, career development, the Residency, and other healthcare teams.

Connects individuals to Learning Well classes and workshops to support their growth and well-being.

Participates in the development of systems that enhance The Learning Well coaching services.

Identifies trends in coaching needs, and partners with the Learning Well team to enhance training and workshops as a result of trends and emerging needs.

Supports individuals in following behavioral standards and the accountable communication model, and directs all mediation and conflict resolution issues to the individual's immediate supervisor.

Acknowledges individuals are responsible for their own choices, and remains aware of and open to the influence of context and culture on self and others.

Demonstrates the ability to prepare mentally and emotionally for coaching sessions and manage personal reactivity within all coaching relationships.
Performs Essential Job Duties of Facilitator

Understand and adhere to the standards, expectations and program requirements as outlined in the Facilitator Program Guide, including but not limited to the following:
-
Ethical guidelines, including confidentiality agreements, personal presence, creating a positive learning environment, managing the timing, arc, and flow of a workshop, ensure a high level of participant engagement, etc.

Maintain program fidelity by ensuring the delivery of program content is in accordance with the Facilitator Manual, Log, and Handouts required for any given program or workshop.

Partner with others to ensure the continuous improvement and documentation of program content and design.
-
Ensure excellence in delivering content and holding oneself accountable for the performance of the workshop, as evidenced from participant, team member, co-facilitator, staff, and leadership feedback.

Demonstrate current and lived experiences with the workshop content. Embody and model the behavior taught in the workshops through everyday attention to self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management.

Honor participants and their choices to engage or disengage with program content as it is delivered in a safe and respectful manner. Address challenges by recognizing participant cues and knowing and being able to implement safety and emergency protocols.

Facilitate a process for others that inspires reflection, insight, and learning. Direct and invite others attention on self-awareness and experiences that integrate the whole-body (Heart, body, mind, and spirit) in learning and create sustained change over time.

Demonstrates personal integrity and positive regard in interactions with staff, participants, colleagues, and leaders. Understands and attends to the individual identity, environment, experiences, values, and beliefs of others.

Demonstrates the capacity, willingness, and personal interest to thoroughly prepare for the mental and emotional rigor of coaching and facilitating workshops.

Upon request from organizational leaders, may offer personalized, one-on-one coaching and facilitation mentorship to assist others to identify their own strengths, areas of growth and inspiration.

Refers participants to other coaching or therapeutic support professionals, as appropriate. Refrains from providing therapy, human resources, or supervisory support or consultation.

Maintain relevance in the emerging field of professional and personal growth, coaching, and adult learning.

Completes assigned trainings via La Clinica's learning module system (Relias) by required due date.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be able to interact with a variety of individuals at various levels under stressful circumstances while exercising sound judgement, tact, and diplomacy; work productively both independently and in a team setting; communicate with clarity, both verbally and in writing to groups and individuals. Must be able to develop and deliver curriculum and resources that promote growth and development.
Education and/or Experience:
Required:
-
Minimum: three to five years of experience in personal development, adult learning, behavioral health, coaching or related field.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
-
Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
-
Skills to intervene and promote reconciliation, compromise, and positive outcomes in difficult interactions.
Preferred:
-
Master's degree in health related or personal growth/coaching field
-
Advanced knowledge of adult learning and behavior change models
-
ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential or ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential or equivalent — including a minimum of 60 hours of coach-specific training, 100 hours of coaching experience, and a passing score on the coaching competency exam — required for facilitators carrying significant one-on-one coaching responsibilities.

Bilingual in English/Spanish. (language proficiency assessment may be required)
