Description

Position Summary

Provides psychiatric care for patients within Mental Health Services through comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in collaboration with the Multidisciplinary Treatment Team.

Position Qualifications

Experience

Clinical experience in hospital and community psychiatry in residency program required
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in hospital and community psychiatry is preferred
Ability to address clinical problems by analyzing, synthesizing, and interpreting information through the use of creative and critical thinking skills while maintaining the human dignity in those we serve

Education

Graduate of an approved medical school and completion of residency training in Psychiatry
Completion of residency training in psychiatry and board eligible

Required Certification/Licensure

MD or DO licensed by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners (OBME) and board certification/eligibility in Psychiatry
BLS: Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start
Must obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges this includes but is not limited to, holding position-specific certifications/memberships as determined by Asante Medical Staff team
Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs
Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospital's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage
