Full Job Description

Job description

CNC Machinist for a position in Bedford, TX to perform programing and machining operations that include a variety of complex & semi-complex parts, details, and assemblies.

Duties Include:

Set up and perform machining operations as required on CNC routers & CNC mills.
Set up machines using all standard attachments and accessories.
Select cutters, speeds and feeds as required.
Work from engineering drawings, tooling drawings, engineering change documents, manufacturing planning, sketches, and verbal instructions.
Check part machined against requirements for accuracy and operation sequence using precision measuring equipment, such as dial calipers, micrometers, scales and gauges.

Basic Qualifications:

Ability to operate CNC machines, make setups, and edit programs as necessary.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and develop machined parts from these specifications
Experience with CNC Mills.
Must have set of basic tools.
Shall possess strong geometry knowledge and mathematical skills; a commitment to quality and safety; the ability to work in a team environment; and, possess excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Show top notch craftsmanship in all aspects of job.

Desired Skills:

Experience with CNC router controls.
Ability to program from prints or models.
Mastercam programing experience required.
SolidWorks modeling experience a plus.
Prior sheet metal or fabrication experience in steel and aluminum a plus.
