Full Job Description

KP Staffing Arlington is now hiring an AOI operator for a company that manufactures electronic products in Southlake, TX!

Job Summary

The AOI Operator will operate automated optical inspection (AOI) equipment to inspect printed circuit board assemblies and verify compliance with IPC-A-610 standards, Bills of Material (BOM), and customer quality requirements while supporting continuous improvement and production goals.

Pay

$20 per hour

Shift

2nd shift: 2:30 p.m. – 11 p.m., Monday – Friday

Training: 1st shift: 6 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Monday – Friday (first week)

Duties

Operate AOI equipment and perform visual inspections using a microscope
Inspect assemblies to IPC-A-610 requirements
Verify component markings, values, and orientations
Identify defects and record defects in the data collection system
Confirm inspection steps in SAP
Support production activities
Run Microsoft Excel programs to verify AOI program-to-build Bills of Material
Clean and organize the work area, including 5S activities
Maintain material traceability as required
Maintain requested data and metrics for Lean and Continuous Improvement activities
Communicate quality issues and improvement suggestions to the Quality Control Supervisor, Quality Engineer, Quality Manager, and other work teams
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to work well as a team member
Ability to use basic measurement tools, including calipers, and a 10X microscope
Ability to interpret component manufacturer data sheets, including package design, part numbers, lot numbers, orientations, and other technical information
Ability to navigate SAP to perform confirmations and BOM validation
Ability to navigate the data collection system, enter defects, and process acceptable boards
Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and work instructions
Computer proficiency, including internet navigation and Microsoft Excel, Word, and email
Ability to sit and work at a computer and microscope for an 8-hour shift
