The opportunity

Delaware North Sportservice is seeking a talented Assistant Catering Manager to join our team at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. In this role, you’ll play a key part in executing a wide range of catered events, ensuring every detail is delivered with excellence. You’ll collaborate closely with a dedicated team in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a high level of professionalism while performing under pressure. This is an exciting opportunity for a positive, detail-oriented leader with a strong foundation in foodservice who is passionate about teamwork and creating exceptional guest experiences.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $43,888 - $54,100 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?

Work closely with Catering Manager to develop and maintain guest relationships
Assists with booking, set-up and tear down, and full execution of catered events
Maintain established food presentation and service standards, providing ongoing developments based upon current trends in the catering industry
Maintain an organized system of comprehensive record-keeping for each catered event, local event days, monthly inventory, requisitions, as well as appropriate levels of related catering supplies and decorations in keeping with the seasons
Assist with recruitment for hourly team members, including working with the Talent Acquisition team to pre-screen candidates, conduct interviews, and identify individuals for hire

More about you

Minimum of 2 years of previous management or supervisory experience in catering and events and/or banquets
Strong communication, organizational skills, and customer service skills
Ability to make informed decisions from analyzed data
Experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and ability to learn catering software

Physical requirements

Capacity to stand and walk during shift, ability to move inventory, products, carts, and tables, as well as using kitchen utensils and commercial kitchen equipment
Possible exposure to variable temperatures and wet and humid conditions
