Fabricator / Welder (A‑Player)

Location: Auburn, ca

Role Summary

We’re looking for a Fabricator / Welder who can take a project from print to finished product with minimal hand‑holding. You’ll read drawings, plan your work, fabricate and weld accurately, and hit agreed‑upon lead times. This is a role for someone who wants ownership, not just a paycheck.

What You’ll Do

Read and interpret drawings, sketches, and work orders
Lay out, cut, fit, and weld components (primarily mild steel) for utility / powerline projects
Use shop equipment (saws, drills, grinders, presses, etc.) safely and correctly
Check your own work for accuracy, fit, and weld quality before it leaves your area
Work with the shop lead to confirm realistic hours and completion dates for each job
Track time per job and communicate early if something will affect the schedule
Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe
Follow all safety policies and PPE requirements
Help teammates when needed and contribute to a positive, no‑drama shop environment

Requirements

3+ years as a welder / fabricator in a shop or field setting, or equivalent experience
Strong MIG welding skills (TIG a plus)
Able to read and work from fabrication drawings and tape measurements accurately
Comfortable operating common fabrication tools and equipment
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet most of the day
Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
