As an Industrial Electrician, you’ll be a critical part of our team, ensuring the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems essential to our operations. What You’ll Do:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, including power distribution, motors, lighting, and control systems.
- Diagnose electrical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Install and troubleshoot motors, motor controls, starters, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and related components.
- Work with low- and medium-voltage systems in an industrial and marine environment.
- Inspect electrical systems, components, and equipment to identify hazards, defects, or necessary adjustments.
- Test electrical systems using meters, testers, and diagnostic tools to verify proper operation.
- Support repairs and modifications on marine propulsion, steering, and auxiliary electrical systems.
- Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and electrical codes to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with maintenance, mechanical, and operations teams to complete projects efficiently.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
- Experience installing and maintaining industrial electrical systems and equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and quality.
- Knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and perform physically demanding tasks.
Essential Physical Functions:
- Lift and transport loads of up to 75 pounds over distances of up to 100 feet.
- Position yourself to manipulate tools and components 30–40 times during an 8-hour shift.
- Work in confined spaces and industrial environments with varying conditions.
Tools You’ll Use:
- Multimeters, clamp meters, and electrical testers
- Hand and power tools
- Conduit bending and installation tools
- Motor testing and diagnostic equipment
- Lockout/Tagout devices
- Ladders, lifts, and other access equipment
