JOB POSTING SUMMARY

JOB TITLE:

Residential Direct Support Professional - Rewarding Job Satisfaction, Multiple Shifts Available, Growth Opportunities

JOB SUMMARY:

As a Residential Staff with Rosewood Services you are responsible for ensuring the individuals you serve receive quality care. This includes teaching and assisting individuals with skills necessary to live successfully within their community. You will also serve as a primary advocate for the individual and agency.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accomadations; have valid driver's license; have a working telephone and reliable transportation to work. Looking for people with a positive attitude and desire to be a team player! :)

JOB DUTIES:

Your duties will include: 1. Be Flexible and work at locations assigned by Director and Managers. 2. Ensure the individual's rights are respected. 3. Teach and assist individuals in daily self-help and appropriate social skills. 4. Teach and assist individuals in food preparations and nutritional values. 5. Teach and assist individuals with routine skills needed to maintain a home environment. 6. Teach and assist individuals in basic safety precautions, procedures and self-preservation. 7. Teach and assist individuals with routine and non-routine health related needs. 8. Teach and assist individuals with transportation needs. 9. Teach and assist individuals in and ensure opportunities for participation in age appropriate leisure/recreational activities. 10. Assure there is sufficient food in the house. 11. Take clients grocery shopping as needed 12 Be responsible for ensuring that appropriate emotional support is provided to individuals when needed. (i.e. counseling, crisis management, etc.) 13. Actively participate as a member of the team in the PCP process. 14. Participate in all mandatory meetings and training sessions provided by the agency. 15 Adhere to agency policy and procedure. (record keeping) 16. Ensure and promote interdepartmental "goodwill" and promote rapport with other departments to ensure efficient, effective services for individuals and agency. 17 Serve as a positive role model and advocate for the individual and agency. 18 Assist with promoting positive familial relationships with/for individuals and the agency.
