Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated, self-directed Property & Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair, and improvement of a diverse portfolio that includes:
- Two Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs)
- A lumberyard
- 35 residential rental units
- Multiple commercial properties
- Three residential development lots
- A 25-acre farm
This position is ideal for a dependable "jack-of-all-trades" who takes pride in solving problems, working independently, and keeping projects moving forward without constant supervision.
There is no shortage of work. The successful candidate will be capable of prioritizing tasks, managing their time effectively, and completing quality work across a wide variety of maintenance and construction-related activities.
Responsibilities
- Perform general property maintenance and repairs
- Troubleshoot and complete plumbing repairs including toilets, faucets, drains, and fixtures
- Perform basic electrical repairs and installations
- Conduct carpentry work, remodeling projects, and building repairs
- Maintain equipment, tools, and facilities
- Perform painting, drywall repair, flooring repairs, and finish work
- Clean out and prepare rental units between tenants
- Maintain grounds including mowing, weed control, and general landscaping
- Coordinate and perform repairs at commercial and residential properties
- Ensure restaurant facilities remain operational and properly maintained
- Monitor and maintain farm structures, equipment, and grounds
- Identify maintenance needs before they become larger problems
- Maintain organized records of projects, supplies, and completed work
- Work safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in:
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Mechanical repairs
- General construction
- Property maintenance
- Ability to diagnose and solve problems independently
- Experience operating lawn and maintenance equipment
- Automotive repair and maintenance experience is a plus
- Experience with rental property turnover and remodeling projects preferred
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
