Full Job Description

Job Summary
Join our dynamic retail team as a Sales Associate, where your enthusiasm and customer-focused mindset will drive success! In this energetic role, you will be the face of our store, engaging with customers to help them find the perfect products, providing exceptional service, and creating a welcoming shopping environment. Your proactive approach will support sales goals through product demonstrations, upselling, and merchandising efforts. Whether assisting with stock management or processing transactions at the POS (Point of Sale) system, you'll play a vital role in delivering an outstanding retail experience.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products that meet their needs
Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement
Operate the POS system efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts
Upsell complementary products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking activities
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and offering personalized recommendations
Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or via online inquiries
Support inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and organizing merchandise
Assist in supervising team members when needed, contributing to a collaborative store environment

Qualifications

Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures is essential
Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus
Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous
Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations accurately
Knowledge of grocery store operations and merchandising standards is beneficial
Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are required to foster positive interactions
Capable of standing, walking, and lifting merchandise throughout shifts; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
