A-V Services Inc., a leading Audio/ Video company with multiple fortune 100 contracts within the financial, pharmaceutical and computing industries, seeks a Infrastructure & Broadcast Systems Engineer.
The Infrastructure & Broadcast Systems Engineer is responsible for the implementation, integration, support, optimization, and lifecycle management of enterprise audiovisual, broadcast, unified communications, and media infrastructure systems. This role provides technical expertise supporting live productions, executive communications, conference centers, broadcast facilities, and mission-critical collaboration environments.
The position works closely with Engineering Leadership to support technology modernization initiatives, resolve complex technical challenges, execute infrastructure projects, and ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of AV, broadcast, and IT systems. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background across broadcast engineering, AV systems integration, networked media, unified communications, and enterprise infrastructure technologies.
Objective:
Provide engineering expertise supporting enterprise AV, broadcast, collaboration, and infrastructure platforms while ensuring the reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement of technology environments. The role functions as a technical partner to Engineering Leadership, helping deliver critical production, communication, collaboration, and broadcast services across the organization.
Role and Responsibilities:
· Configure, deploy, support, and maintain enterprise AV, broadcast, media, and unified communications systems across conference centers, auditoriums, studios, and event spaces.
· Support and troubleshoot video routing, recording, streaming, signal monitoring, media transport, and production systems used for live and recorded events.
· Administer and support Microsoft Teams Rooms, VoIP platforms, SIP communications, Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), and enterprise collaboration technologies.
· Configure, operate, and troubleshoot AV-over-IP and broadcast-IP environments, including Dante, AES67, NDI, multicast networking, QoS, and related media transport technologies.
· Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis across AV, broadcast, networking, server, storage, and collaboration technology platforms.
· Execute technology deployment projects, platform upgrades, system migrations, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
· Integrate AV, broadcast, and IT technologies within enterprise infrastructure and network environments while ensuring reliability and operational performance.
· Develop and maintain engineering documentation, operational procedures, implementation guides, technical standards, and support runbooks.
· Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, automation, and reporting solutions utilizing scripting tools, APIs, and enterprise management platforms.
· Provide engineering support for executive events, live productions, technical rehearsals, and mission-critical business communications while serving as an escalation point during production-impacting incidents.
Job Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Broadcast Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
· Minimum 5 years of experience supporting enterprise AV, broadcast, media technology, unified communications, or infrastructure environments.
· Experience supporting enterprise AV and broadcast systems within corporate, production, live-event, studio, or media environments.
· Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex system issues.
· Experience supporting mission-critical technologies in a fast-paced operational environment.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams Rooms and enterprise collaboration platforms.
· Experience supporting Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), VoIP, SIP, and related communications technologies.
· Hands-on experience with Q-SYS, Crestron, Extron, DSP platforms, and integrated AV control systems.
· Knowledge of broadcast and AV-over-IP technologies, including Dante, AES67, NDI, multicast networking, and video transport workflows.
· Understanding of enterprise networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, QoS, and network monitoring tools.
· Experience supporting Windows Server environments, virtualization platforms, and cloud-based technology services.
· Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and system support materials.
· Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and effectively support operations while collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
· CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I Certification.
· Dante Certification.
· Q-SYS Certification.
· Cisco Collaboration Certifications.
· CCNA or CCNP Certification.
· VMware Certifications.
· ITIL Certification.
· Experience supporting executive briefing centers, broadcast facilities, conference centers, and large-scale corporate event environments.
· Experience with live event production, studio operations, and enterprise media workflows.
