Full Time Retail Loan Processor-Administrative Assistance

Put your loan processing experience to work with a team that values accuracy, service, and growth We're looking for a Retail Loan Processor to join our growing lending team. In this role, you'll play a key part in making the lending process smooth and efficient while providing outstanding service to our customers and support to our loan officers. What You'll Do:

Information Processing:

· Prepare new loan and loan renewal documentation with a high degree of accuracy.

· Review loan files for completeness and compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

· Process closed loans and maintain loan files within the bank's core system.

· Verify and check back new and renewed loans entered into the system.

· Monitor and follow up on submitted, pending, and incomplete loans.

· Compile and prepare reports for management and lending staff.

· Balance accounts and perform file maintenance as needed.

· Communicate loan status updates and resolve issues with Loan Officers and Supervisors.

· Ensure documentation is properly organized, filed, and retained.

Transaction Processing:

· Accurately and efficiently apply payments to mortgage loans, installment loans, escrow accounts, and land contracts.

· Process and post loan payments in a timely manner while ensuring compliance with established procedures.

· Reconcile loan payment transactions and ensure proper allocation of principal, interest, and escrow funds.

· Maintain accurate loan records and payment histories within core banking systems.

Administrative Support:

· Prepare and maintain loan files both manually and electronically, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.

· Create and distribute correspondence related to loan origination, processing, servicing, and closing activities.

· Provide administrative and operational support to the loan operations team as needed.

· Assist in the development, documentation, and maintenance of written policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.

Customer Relationship Development:

· Greet and assist customers in person through the secured LPO entrance, by telephone, and through electronic communications in a professional and courteous manner.

· Assess customer financial needs and identify appropriate products, services, or resources to meet those needs.

· Utilize the RSU system to assist customers with loan payments and deposit transactions processed through branch offices.

· Direct customers to the appropriate department or personnel for specialized assistance when necessary.

Qualifications:

High school graduate. Loan processing experience is preferred. Technical training or continuing education in secretarial sciences is desired. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to deal with coworkers and customers with a pleasant demeanor while completing multiple tasks. Strong math skills. Organized and able to work within deadlines.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Experience:

Loan processing: 2 years (Preferred)
