Full Job Description

Job Title: CNC Machine Operator Weekend Shift (Friday to Sunday)

Position Summary:

The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications. This role ensures quality, safety, and efficiency in all machining operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up and calibrate CNC machines for production tasks such as drilling, milling, and grinding.
Fabricator and CNC tube bending .
Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and CAD/CAM files.
Input design specifications and machine commands using CNC software.
Load raw materials and replace tools as needed.
Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain tolerances.
Inspect finished products using precision instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
Deburr and finish machined parts.
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S principles.
Follow all OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols.
Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.
Vocational or technical training in CNC machining preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
Basic math skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
Good communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
Work in a manufacturing environment with variable temperatures (heated in winter; may exceed 90°F in summer).
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and hearing protection as required by OSHA standards
