RN – Operating Room (OR) | Travel Contract

Location: 800 11th Street, Charles City, IA 50616
Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room
Contract Length: 12 Weeks with Possible Extension
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: Days | 8-Hour Shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Weekly Pay: $2,600–$2,700

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our surgical team in Charles City, Iowa. The OR RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures while maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment.

This is a 12-week travel contract with possible extension, offering 40 guaranteed hours per week on an 8-hour day shift and a competitive weekly pay package of $2,600–$2,700.

Responsibilities

Provide safe and compassionate nursing care to patients throughout the surgical process.
Prepare patients for surgical procedures and verify necessary documentation and consent.
Assist the surgical team with procedures and maintain a sterile environment.
Serve as a Circulating RN, coordinating patient care and ensuring operating-room safety.
Monitor patients and communicate changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Assist with positioning, surgical preparation, and transfer of patients.

Required Experience & Certifications:

OR Circulator experience
Critical Access Hospital (CAH) experience
Orthopedic, General Surgery, and ENT experience
Some experience with eye-related procedures and pediatric patients
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Willingness to participate in weekly call and every 4th weekend

Pay: $2,600.00 - $2,700.00 per week
