Full Job Description

Locations Available: Davidson, Williamson, Maury, Montgomery, Rutherford, Sumner, Wilson, Putnam, & Cumberland, and surrounding Counties.

Position Overview:

Recruitment Specialists play a critical role in supporting all aspects of the recruitment process of girls and adult volunteers. This role requires collaborating with council staff and volunteers, utilizing proven sales techniques to capture and convert leads, and conducting engaging Girl Scout activities for girls and their caregivers/parents. The Recruitment Specialist will deliver Girl Talks, Run Family Interest Nights, attend community functions and other engagement events to support the Regional Team as needed in the community.

The position involves local travel and will likely include evening and weekend work hours to meet organizational membership goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists Regional Executive (RE) and Membership Specialist (MS) in providing support for girl and adult membership recruitment and retention in an assigned geographic area.
Visits schools in assigned geographic areas to perform recruitment assemblies and family interest nights
Work with MS to organize materials for recruitment and assisting in delivery to schools
Identifies and recruits girl and adult members/volunteers
Ensures Family Interest Night attendance is recorded and entered in all campaigns
Promote Girl Scout visibility locally through networking, community relationships and partnerships.
Deliver engaging and educational hands-on activities for girls and caregivers at events.
Assist customers in completing online registrations and troubleshoot registration issues as needed.
Perform administrative tasks to aid in the preparation and execution of recruitment events as well as post-event follow-up for membership conversions.
Communicate the Girl Scout mission, including the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, its benefits, and its impact on girls and their communities.
Represent the Girl Scout brand through consistent, professional presence and communication methods.
Ensure compliance with all council policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Additional duties may be assigned to support the successful implementation of council goals.

Skills/Qualifications:

High school diploma
Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortability with both children and adults.
Experience with proven recruitment and/or sales results preferred.
Experience with Girl Scouts preferred
Reliable transportation along with documentation of a valid drivers’ license, required automobile insurance and safe driving record.
Reliability and commitment to the Girl Scout mission and team.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to be an effective team player.
Strong oral communication skills.
Computer literacy, including Outlook and Excel basics

Additional Requirements and Availability

Ability to pass a criminal background check
Willingness and ability to travel within council jurisdiction.
Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. with the majority of hours being mid morning, mid afternoon and evening on weekdays.

Physical Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. The employee may lift, carry, or otherwise move and position objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
