Full Job Description

Location: Mickey Truck Bodies High Point, NC
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: Monday-Thursday 630a-5p, 6:30am-3pm OT Fridays and some Saturdays

Pay: $16.50-$18.50 per hour
Bonus: Bi-Weekly Productivity & Performance Bonus

Job Overview

The assembler performs repetitive line-assembly operations to produce Body components or to assemble those components into a completed truck body/trailer. This position also requires the ability to read blueprints and work independently to meet quality and production standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Mickey Truck Bodies is a premier manufacturer of state-of-the-art bodies and trailers, and specially engineered vehicles sold in over 50 countries around the world. The innovative product line-up is prevalent in industries such as food & beverage, vending, propane, rental trucks, emergency & rescue, battery, oil & natural gas, and data storage. The company operates in 4 states with over 400 Mickey employees at these locations.

What you’ll do:

Performs any fabrication type functions, using hand or power tools on the truck body or trailer.
Performs body work on box trucks or trailer bodies
Operates both stationery and moving overhead cranes.
Installs lights and wiring.
Operates fork lift as required.
Operates saws as required.
Moves material with appropriate equipment throughout the work area as needed
Clean up work area daily
Operates any equipment needed to perform job.
Performs related duties as needed by supervision.

What we’re looking for:

Ability to operate hand and power tools
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Maintain a safe work environment, achieve productivity goals, and be familiar with the quality standards
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations manual, and written directions (Work Orders)
Must be able to read a tape measure
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions give, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

Physical Requirements

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Must be able to communicate clearly
Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
Requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, crawl, and kneel
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
