Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Line Cook to elevate our culinary team and deliver exceptional dining experiences. As a key leader in the kitchen, you will oversee daily food preparation, ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality, and inspire your team to achieve culinary excellence. Your passion for cooking and attention to detail will help create memorable meals that delight our guests and uphold our reputation. If you are selected for this position you will need to be proficient in several stations, but also working 2 stations or more while on shift. This is a fast paced Job with ticket times being less than 15 minutes. Applicants should be able to be able to move quick and make food look amazing. Every plate should look picture worthy. Applicants should know that this position is not Fast Food. You should have real experience on a kitchen line.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the activities of line cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
Prepare, cook, and plate dishes according to established recipes, presentation standards, and customer specifications
Oversee food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and sanitation standards
Assist with menu planning by providing input on dish execution, ingredient selection, and portion control
Maintain a clean, organized workspace by adhering to proper kitchen sanitation practices and equipment maintenance
Help with training new team members on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and food industry best practices
Collaborate with management to monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and minimize waste while maintaining quality

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant experience with a focus on Fast Casual food environments
Strong culinary skills including knife skills, meal preparation, and food presentation techniques
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
Experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a positive work environment
Excellent communication skills with an energetic approach to teamwork
Familiarity with menu planning, food industry standards, and kitchen operations
