Position Overview: The Program and Ministry Lead (PML) at The Simple Room plays a pivotal role in nurturing the spiritual, personal, and leadership growth of youth through Christ-centered programs and activities, under the guidance of the Executive Director. This position participates weekly programming and supports a welcoming, relational environment where youth can encounter Christ, grow in their faith, and develop life and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
After-School Programming:
- Co-lead after-school programming for four shifts per week, providing structured, faith-based activities that promote educational and personal development.
- Collaborate with staff to align programs with organizational goals, meet student needs, and reflect Christian values of love, service, and compassion.
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and implementation of after-school programming, Project 24, field trips, special events, and other ministry activities.
Additional Duties:
· Provide administrative and operational support to the Executive Director by assisting with special projects, communications, scheduling, and other organizational priorities as assigned.
- Assist with the planning and purchasing of snacks, meals, program supplies, and activity materials, ensuring resources are available to support quality programming.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student and family registration records, attendance, program documentation, and organizational reports in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
- Updating and maintaining The Simple Room's website to ensure program information, events, and organizational content remain current and accurate.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in, Education, Youth Development, Social Work, Theology, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- Previous experience in youth programming, Christian ministry, leadership training, or a similar role is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a focus on conveying Christian values.
- Proven leadership and team collaboration capabilities, inspired by servant leadership.
- Ability to work with diverse groups and individuals, fostering unity.

Working Conditions:
- This role involves a combination of administrative tasks and direct engagement with youth
- Evening availability is required for weekly programming.
