Home Based Specialist

Job Description

Montcalm Care Network serves adults and children with mental illness and developmental disabilities while specializing in models of integrated health and co-occurring treatment. MCN is the respected leader of behavioral health care in our community and actively partners with other community providers. Montcalm Care Network offers competitive pay and benefits.

Montcalm Care Network is seeking a master level clinician with experience working with children who have serious emotional disturbances. Work in an organization that supports professional growth, values team-based interventions and provides trauma-informed care.

Home Based Specialist provides intensive therapeutic intervention to children (ages 0-17) and their families in a home and community-based setting. Position requires ability to coordinate care with multiple providers. Experience in evidence-based practices such as trauma-informed CBT a plus.

Employment Qualifications

Education: Possession of a master’s degree in Social Work, Nursing, Psychology or a related social services field.

Experience: One year of experience in a mental health related field in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of minors and their families.

Other Requirements: Licensure or limited licensure as a Social Worker, Counselor, Limited License Psychologist by the State of Michigan. Must be a Children’s Mental Health Professional (CMHP) or supervised by an individual with this credential. Must complete an Infant Mental Health Endorsement if serving the 0-3 population.

Valid driver’s license is required. Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a State of Michigan chauffeur’s license within 30 days of hire.

Salary:

Master’s level: $56,170 - $80,720 less than full license

Master’s level: $62,514 - $89,878 full license

Schedule: 4-day work week with two evenings required.

Student Loan Repayment: MCN is an approved National Health Service site (NHSC, a loan repayment program); in addition to Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF), and MDHHS Behavioral Health Loan Repayment Program (BHLRP). MCN offers tuition reimbursement of up to $5,250 per year.

This employer participates in E-Verify. As part of the hiring process, we will verify the employment eligibility of all new hires through the E-Verify system in accordance with federal and state law.
