Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will be the friendly first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. Your expertise in medical administrative support, EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, and health insurance knowledge will be essential in managing patient appointments, medical records, and billing processes. Duties

Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations with professionalism and enthusiasm
Schedule patient appointments efficiently using EMR/EHR systems.
Verify patient insurance coverage, process medical collections, and handle billing inquiries with accuracy
Review and update medical records while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies
Assist with documentation review, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and ensure proper medical billing procedures are followed
Manage phone communication with patients and healthcare providers using excellent phone etiquette and clear communication skills
Maintain organized filing systems for medical records, appointment logs, and other administrative documents

Requirements

Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar medical office administrative role
Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems.
Familiarity with health insurance processes including Medicare and Medicaid billing procedures
Ability to perform medical coding (ICD-10/ICD-9/CPT) accurately for documentation review and billing purposes
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and office management software
Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly phone manner and professional appearance
Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations
Previous clinic or dental clinic experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
