The Department of Engineering in the College of Engineering and Technology at East Carolina University is seeking applicants and nominations for a nine-month, full-time, tenure-track assistant or associate professor position. The successful candidate will balance teaching, research, and service in support of the department’s academic programs and mission. The candidate will (1) teach undergraduate engineering courses and laboratories in areas aligned with the candidate’s expertise and departmental needs, with teaching flexibility across mechanical and biochemical engineering, as well as the common engineering core, particularly valued; (2) develop and sustain an active research program with the potential to attract external funding and produce peer-reviewed scholarship; (3) mentor students through research, design projects, experiential learning, and professional development activities; (4) advise engineering students and contribute to curriculum development, program assessment, and continuous improvement in support of accreditation; (5) collaborate with faculty and students across the department, college, and university on interdisciplinary teaching and research initiatives; and (6) provide service to the department, college, university, profession, and broader community.

Minimum Education/Experience
Candidates must have a terminal degree in mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution or a foreign equivalent. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
