Full Job Description

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced dental professional who brings both clinical expertise and a passion for operational leadership? We are looking for a Practice Administrator who can lead from the floor — someone who understands what happens chairside and can use that knowledge to run a practice that consistently delivers for patients and providers alike.

This is a full-time, leadership role in a busy general family dentistry practice. You will be the operational anchor of the office: directing clinical workflows, managing the administrative team, ensuring compliance, and driving the kind of daily performance that makes a practice genuinely excellent.

What You'll Do

Clinical Leadership

Provide on-the-ground clinical direction to dental assistants, hygienists, and clinical support staff.
Monitor treatment workflows from intake through dismissal, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and patient experience.
Collaborate with providers on scheduling strategy, case acceptance workflows, and productivity goals.
Conduct regular audits of patient charts, clinical notes, and ledgers for accuracy and completeness.
Ensure compliance with infection control standards, OSHA regulations, and all clinical protocols.

Operations & Administration

Direct daily patient scheduling and office flow to maximize provider time and meet production goals.
Lead morning huddles and monthly team meetings to drive communication and accountability.
Oversee all patient transactions, insurance claims, revenue posting, and account adjustments for accuracy.
Oversee administrative reporting including daysheet preparation, bank deposits, new patient tracking, and month-end reconciliation.

Team & Facilities

Serve as the primary on-site leadership contact for team matters, collaborating with HR and operations leadership as needed.
Address staff performance and relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality.
Support onboarding and training of new clinical and administrative team members.

Required:

Substantial clinical dental background — experience as a dental assistant, hygienist, or clinical supervisor required.
Ability to lead administrative staff, set performance expectations, and hold a team accountable for scheduling, billing, and insurance functions
Strong leadership presence with the ability to hold standards while supporting your team.
Exceptional organizational and communication skills — you keep things moving without letting things fall through the cracks.
