Full Job Description

What you’ll do

The Qualified Professional (QP) oversees client care and provides leadership to direct support staﬀ in our residential programs.

This role ensures service quality, supports client progress, and maintains compliance with state and agency requirements. You will conduct assessments, develop and monitor person-centered treatment plans, provide clinical oversight, and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support client wellness and recovery.

This is a high-visibility role that requires presence, responsiveness, and the ability to operate within structured oversight. You will co-manage staff, prioritize, and adapt quickly as needs arise.

Core duties

Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to determine service needs and eligibility.
Develop, implement, and monitor person-centered treatment plans.
Provide clinical oversight for service delivery in accordance with state and agency guidelines.
Monitor client progress, document services, and update treatment plans as needed.
Supervise and support House Managers, Companion Aides, and Peer Support Specialists.
Participate in clinical team meetings, staﬀ training, and case consultations.
Ensure compliance with state regulatory standards and payer requirements (including Medicaid).
Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in client records.
Participate in quality assurance activities and audits.
Coordinate services and communicate with families, guardians, providers, and community resources.
Support clients with advocacy, skill development, and resource navigation.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards and agency policies.
Ensure accurate staﬀ documentation, notes, and required reporting.
Schedule staﬀ shifts and ensure adequate coverage at homes.
Fill in for staﬀ when necessary and remain flexible during staﬃng shortages.
Address employee behavior or performance issues promptly and report to your supervisor with documentation and recommendations.
Coordinate training for new hires, including company policies, CPR/Aide certification, NCI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention), and medication administration. Ensure training is completed within required timelines.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Nursing, or a related human services field (must meet state QP requirements).
Minimum of 2 years of supervised experience in mental health services (experience requirement may vary by state).
Licensure or certification preferred (LCSW-A, LPC-A, etc., based on state regulations).
Knowledge of mental health diagnoses, treatment interventions, and community resources.
Experience working with individuals with mental health and/or co-occurring disorders.
Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse populations.
Strong execution skills: dependable follow-through, accountability, and comfort working within structured oversight.
Flexibility and availability to respond to urgent client and staﬃng needs.
