Full Job Description

Job Summary

A Leading Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing Company is APG Mechanics / F-16 Production Technicians to join the Production Hangar team supporting the assembly and production of F-16 fighter aircraft in Greenville, South Carolina.

This is an entry-level production position focused on aircraft inspection, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, modification, and maintenance of aircraft systems and powerplants in accordance with established procedures, specifications, and quality standards.

Candidates with experience as an Aircraft Crew Chief, Plane Captain, or A&P Mechanic are strongly preferred. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in an aircraft production and assembly environment and willing to work any assigned shift after completing initial training.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and modify aircraft systems and powerplants.
Perform aircraft maintenance and production tasks in accordance with established written procedures, specifications, and standards.
Support aircraft assembly and production activities within the F-16 Production Hangar.
Work with and maintain knowledge of aircraft systems, including:
Landing gear
Powerplants
Flight controls
Aircraft rigging
Aircraft movement
Perform mechanical inspections and identify potential defects or discrepancies.
Assist with troubleshooting and corrective maintenance activities.
Follow technical instructions, work procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Support production goals while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
Work effectively as part of a production and maintenance team.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

4–6 years of Aircraft Crew Chief, Plane Captain, Aircraft Mechanic, or related aircraft maintenance experience preferred/required.
Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance practices.
Experience working with aircraft mechanical systems, powerplants, landing gear, flight controls, or rigging.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve aircraft system issues.
Ability to read and follow technical instructions, procedures, and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to aircraft safety and quality.
Ability to work in a fast-paced aircraft production/assembly environment.
Must be willing to work any assigned shift after completion of first-shift training.
Must be available to start September 14, 2026.

Shift Information

Candidates must be flexible to work the shift assigned after training.

1st Shift:
Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

2nd Shift:
Monday–Thursday, 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM

Possible Weekend Shift:
Thursday–Sunday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Training: Initial training will be conducted on 1st shift, after which employees may be assigned to 1st, 2nd, or weekend shift based on business requirements.
