Full Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Water, Fire, Smoke, and Mold Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in emergency response to water, fire, smoke, and mold damage situations, providing mitigation services to our clients. This person will have a in-depth understanding of both residential and commercial construction, as well as various portions of a property such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Being able to use tools, power equipment, and various forms of technology will be needed to meet the requirements of this role. This can be a physically demanding role and will require someone that’s comfortable being in crawl spaces, and disaster situations inside a property including flooding, the aftermath of a fire, and extensive mold damage. RestoPros provides all necessary PPE but this is a physically demanding role.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond promptly to emergency service calls for water, fire, smoke, and mold damage. We run rotating on-call teams through the week and availability and punctuality is required.
Assess damage and determine the necessary steps for remediation and restoration.
Perform extraction, drying, and dehumidification processes for water damage situations.
Clean and restore property affected by fire and smoke damage, including soot removal.
Identify and safely remediate mold growth in residential and commercial properties.
Handle and maintain equipment and tools required for restoration tasks.
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety regulations and IICRC guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of services performed, including photographs and documentation through RestoPros technology platforms.
Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on the restoration process as well as RestoPros team members.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in water/fire/mold restoration preferred.
Prior experience in water, fire, smoke, and mold restoration is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of restoration techniques and safety practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively.
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments.
On-call availability for emergency services is required.
