Summary/Objective:
The Winder Specialist is responsible for the installation, assembly, alignment, and maintenance of industrial winding equipment and related mechanical systems. This position works from engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements to ensure winding systems, components, shafts, bearings, motors, and associated equipment are properly installed and aligned. The Winder Specialist performs measurements, adjustments, troubleshooting, and quality checks while maintaining a strong focus on safety, precision, productivity, and overall project quality.
Essential Functions:

Install, assemble, and align winding equipment and components.

Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Perform measurements, adjustments, and quality checks.

Operate hand and power tools safely.
-
Troubleshoot equipment and identify installation issues.
-
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
-
Follow all company and jobsite safety requirements.
-
Work closely with supervisors, trades, and other project personnel to complete work on schedule.

Required:

Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a Winder Specialist or in a similar industrial/mechanical construction role.

Ability to read drawings and use basic measuring tools.

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
-
Ability to work safely in an industrial construction environment.
-
Ability to lift, carry, and work in various positions as required.
-
Must adhere to all company policies and procedures.
The work environment and physical demands required would be representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, and may include, but are not limited to the following:
Work Environment:

May work in varying temperatures; both inside and outside, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold, and dampness

May work in areas with exposure to moderate/high noise levels

This role routinely uses construction equipment such as heavy machinery, hand and power tools

While performing duties of the job the employee may work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.

Frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms

Must be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus
