Full Job Description

Job Summary

The Centralized Inventory & Procurement Specialist serves as the enterprise-wide owner of inventory, procurement accuracy, and equipment oversight across all Therapeutic Solutions Inc pharmacies. The role supports multiple pharmacy locations with a primary operational focus at the home site.

This position ensures operational efficiency, accuracy in vendor pricing, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement through centralized inventory management, standardization, and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

1. Serve as centralized inventory owner across all pharmacy locations, overseeing inventory levels to prevent shortages, overstock, expirations, and waste.

2. Analyze usage trends and coordinate inter-location transfers to optimize utilization and minimize emergency purchasing.

3. Establish, maintain and monitor inventory minimums and maximums in collaboration with pharmacy leadership.

4. Support inventory standardization initiatives where clinically and operationally appropriate.

5. Ensure vendor contracts, item files, and pricing are accurately loaded and maintained in inventory and billing systems.

6. Validate contract pricing, resolve discrepancies, and escalate issues with supporting analysis.

7. Support vendor performance monitoring and cost-containment initiatives.

8. Maintain documentation, workflows, and templates to align with operational and regulatory requirements.

9. Upload invoices into accounting systems to support timely payment.

10. Prepare product research, cost comparisons, and utilization analyses for leadership review.

11. Support system-wide standardization and implementation of approved products.

12. Maintain centralized oversight of pharmacy equipment including tracking, maintenance, and replacement planning.

13. Coordinate shipping, receiving, cycle counts, and physical inventory activities as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Required: High school diploma or equivalent; minimum two years of experience in pharmacy inventory, supply chain, or healthcare operations.

2. Strong working knowledge of inventory systems, high attention to detail, and ability to manage priorities independently across multiple locations.

3. Preferred: Experience in centralized or multi-site operations, vendor management, contract pricing, and pharmacy technician experience or licensure, where applicable.

4. Computer skills include proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and efficient Internet and email use.

Physical Requirements:

1. Pharmacy and office-based environment with periodic travel between locations.

2. The employee must regularly stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear.

3. The employee is required to use hands to operate office equipment and vehicles.

4. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

5. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
