Overview:
The Marketing and Communications (MarCom) Junior Copywriter is responsible for developing clear, engaging, and on-brand copy that supports the bank’s marketing and communications objectives. As a member of the internal creative team, this role collaborates with designers, video production, marketers, strategists, and communications partners to create compelling messaging across a wide variety of channels and deliverables. They can help translate complex financial topics into approachable, audience-focused language while maintaining brand voice, accuracy, and regulatory requirements.
What You’ll Do:
- Write clear, compelling, and audience-focused copy across a wide variety of channels.

Revise copy based on stakeholder, legal, compliance, and creative feedback while maintaining message effectiveness.

Ensure all copy reflects the bank’s brand voice, messaging standards, and style guidelines.

Work with the Creative Director, MarCom team members, and line of business stakeholders to understand business objectives and recommend messaging solutions.

Conduct interviews and/or research to understand products, audiences, competitors, and market trends.

Proofread and edit content for grammar, clarity, brand consistency, and accuracy.

Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines or providing advanced notice of a needed schedule change based on scope change or competing priorities early in the project.

Contribute ideas during creative brainstorming sessions and campaign development.

Balance creativity with regulatory and compliance requirements.

Work within an established creative process.
Requirements For Success:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, or a related field
Experience: Up to 2 years of professional experience in copywriting, content creation, marketing communications, or a related discipline, with demonstrated written communication and storytelling skills.
Required Skills:

Portfolio showcasing strong writing capabilities across multiple formats such as technical writing, long-form and short-form advertising copy, editorial content, interviews, and scripts.

Excellent organizational and time management skills with the capacity to prioritize multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.

An understanding that a collaborative mindset is necessary to make better creative work.

Receptive to constructive feedback and committed to continuously refining work based on input.
Preferred Skills:

Internship or professional experience within an advertising agency or in-house creative/marketing team.

Experience with marketing project management systems

Familiarity with writing for digital marketing channels, including web, email, and social media.

Exposure to financial services or another highly regulated industry is preferred but not required
Conditions of Employment:
Position requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
This position requires up to 10% travel.

Pay Range: USD $42,061.00 - USD $61,215.00 /Yr.
