Personal Injury Case Manager — Pre-Litigation Smith & Lee Lawyers | Rockwall, Texas Office on Goliad St. in Rockwall, TX

About the Role

At Smith & Lee Lawyers, we represent people who have been hurt through no fault of their own, and we take that responsibility seriously. We're looking for a Pre-Litigation Case Manager who will be a steady, caring presence for our clients from the day they sign with us through the day their case resolves.

This position will be based at our Rockwall office.

What You'll Do

You'll manage a caseload of pre-litigation personal injury claims and serve as a primary point of contact for clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers. Day to day, that looks like:

Keeping clients informed, heard, and supported throughout their case
Conducting client interviews and gathering injury details, treatment updates, and documentation
Requesting, organizing, and reviewing medical records, bills, photos, and insurance information
Maintaining accurate case information in Filevine
Tracking deadlines, treatment progress, and missing documents
Assisting attorneys with demand packages, settlement documentation, and case prep
Handling correspondence, data entry, document review, and general case administration

The right person for this role is organized, dependable, and genuinely cares about helping people who are going through one of the hardest times in their lives.

You don't need to have worked in a law firm before, but you do need to be the kind of person who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and doesn't let things fall through the cracks.

We're looking for someone who has:

Experience in a personal injury firm, legal office, insurance claims environment, or medical office (preferred, but we'll train the right person)
Strong phone and written communication skills - clear, professional, and warm
The organizational ability to manage a busy caseload without losing the details
Patience and compassion when working with stressed or frustrated clients
A positive, solution-focused attitude when things get busy
Integrity - we expect everyone on our team to do the right thing, always
Comfort with Microsoft Office, email, and case management software; Filevine experience is a plus

The Details

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Location: In-person at our Rockwall, TX office (702 N Goliad St.)
Compensation: $35,000-$40,000 per year, depending on experience
