Full Job Description

Job Summary:
We are a new Faith-Based Preschool in Lavon. We offer care for children 6 weeks - 5 years; and we will offer after-school care for students in Community ISD.

We are seeking dedicated Preschool Teachers to join our team. If you have a passion for children, get excited when they learn something new, have patience when a child is having a hard day and want to see them succeed, then you should reach out to The Preschool Academy.

Duties:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate the intellectual, social and spiritual growth of children
- Create a safe and supportive learning environment
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum
- Monitor and assess student progress to provide individualized instruction
- Collaborate with parents to support each child's development
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and behavior

Qualifications:

-High School diploma or higher required

-At least 18 years of age

- Previous experience working as an infant teacher, toddler, or preschool-aged children is highly desired
- Knowledge of child development theories and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Certification in Early Childhood Education is a plus

Skills:
- Experience working with students
- Familiarity with special education principles
- Proficiency in literacy education
- Experience in tutoring or teaching math concepts
- Understanding of childhood development stages
- Knowledge of early intervention strategies
- Strong foundation in early childhood education principles
