Full Job Description

IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING

This is a 1099 INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR OPPORTUNITY — NOT AN EMPLOYEE POSITION.

You will not be hired as a W-2 employee of Veinova Diagnostics LLC.

Compensation is per completed blood draw/assignment, NOT an hourly wage or salary. The advertised compensation range represents potential earnings based on the number and type of assignments completed and is not a guaranteed hourly rate or guaranteed income.

As an independent contractor, you are responsible for your own:

Professional Liability (Medical Malpractice) Insurance
Commercial General Liability (CGL) Insurance
Taxes and self-employment obligations
Transportation and mileage
Business expenses
Required licenses and certifications
HIPAA/OSHA training and compliance

You must be prepared to operate as an independent business and maintain the required insurance coverage before performing assignments.

If you are seeking a W-2 employee position with an hourly wage, benefits, or guaranteed hours, this opportunity is not the right fit.

This is an Independent Contractor (1099) opportunity. Contractors are not employees of Veinova Diagnostics LLC and are responsible for maintaining their own required insurance, certifications, tax obligations, and applicable credentials.

Duties

Perform venipuncture and specimen collection using established standards and best practices.
Verify patient identity and accurately label specimens.
Properly package and prepare specimens for laboratory transport.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and safety regulations.
Travel to patient locations as scheduled.
Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism, compassion, and patient confidentiality.
Complete accurate documentation and communicate appointment status promptly.
Maintain a professional appearance and represent Veinova Diagnostics LLC with integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must possess the following:

Current National Phlebotomy Certification (NHA, ASCP, AMT, NCCT, or equivalent).
Demonstrated proficiency in venipuncture and specimen collection.
Valid driver's license.
Reliable transportation.
Current automobile insurance meeting state minimum requirements.
Ability to use a mobile device with internet access to receive assignments, communicate with Veinova, and complete required documentation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while managing a flexible schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

One (1) year of recent phlebotomy experience.
Previous mobile phlebotomy, home health, or laboratory experience.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), mobile healthcare applications, or digital documentation is a plus.

Insurance Verification

Applicants must submit proof of the following before executing an Independent Contractor Agreement or accepting assignments:

Professional Liability (Medical Malpractice) Insurance
Commercial General Liability (CGL) Insurance

Contractors are responsible for maintaining active Professional Liability and General Liability Insurance throughout the duration of their Independent Contractor Agreement. Failure to maintain the required insurance may result in suspension or termination of contract assignments.

Additional Credentialing

The following may be required depending on client contracts, facility credentialing standards, or specific assignment requirements:

Current CPR/BLS Certification.
Successful completion of a background check.
Drug screening.
Immunization records and/or health screening documentation.
Experience with geriatric, pediatric, oncology, or difficult-draw patients.
