Job Summary:

Responsible for holistic management of a progressive quality system designed to proactively drive continuous improvement in all quality related metrics and assure that all manufactured products meet customer specifications.

Essential Functions:

Directs all quality control and assurance activities.
Serves as management representative for ISO-9001 Quality Management System and all other quality related certifications.
Establishes work instructions, procedures, and product quality criteria in coordination with manufacturing and engineering.
Responsible for quality criteria communication to production associates and development of associated reference documentation.
Partners with engineering to produce characteristics data for capability studies and designed experiments, including the analysis of data.
Identifies favorable and unfavorable trends in defect rates, failure modes and excessive scrap rates to assure proper attention is given to internal processes so as to ensure minimal field failures and complaints.
Responsible for final disposition on when defects do not clearly fall within pre-established quality guidelines.
Leads efforts in statistical process control, DOE's, R & R's and total quality control measures.
Oversees the quality lab to ensure products meet company, customer and regulatory standards.
Responds to customer complaints related to defective product.
Manages practices to maintain quality and calibration to ensure product specifications are met.
Establishes and communicates goals for quality and tracks performance.
Works with customers and suppliers to assure specifications are met.
Works with outside regulatory inspectors, such as UL, on matters of inspection procedure, permissible deviation, specifications.
Assures management of required documentation and reports.
Leads the Material Review Board process. Participates on the Contract Review process.

Secondary Duties:

Performs other tasks as directed by division GM/VP to ensure site goals are achieved

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in a related discipline required

Experience: 3 - 5 years quality manufacturing required

Experience in Medical product manufacturing preferred

Experience with IQ OQ PQ process preferred

Skills: ISO 9000 / ISO 13485

PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)

Six Sigma Methodology exposure

Statistical methods

Computer literacy in SQC Pac

Windows, AS400, Power Point, EXCEL

Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal

Special Requirements: Knowledge of products, materials, processes and customer quality requirements.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
