Full Job Description

Overview

Position: Bookkeeper (Part-Time)
Schedule: 4–6 hours per week (hybrid remote and in office)
Compensation: $30–$40 per hour, based on experience

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to provide weekly financial support for International Ballet, a small nonprofit arts organization. This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working independently, takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records, and wants to support a top quality arts non-profit in the Upstate of South Carolina.

Responsibilities

● Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online
● Record and reconcile bank and credit card transactions
● Prepare monthly financial reports and account reconciliations
● Manage payroll processing through ADP
● Ensure timely payment of bills and proper recording of expenses
● Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
● Support tax preparation by maintaining organized financial records
● Monitor cash flow and communicate any accounting concerns to leadership
● Maintain confidentiality of all financial and payroll information

Qualifications

● Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience required
● Proficiency with QuickBooks Online required
● Experience processing payroll through ADP preferred
● Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
● Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Experience working with nonprofit organizations is a plus
