Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components according to detailed structural steel blueprints. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality metal structures and parts, adhering to safety standards and industry best practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your craftsmanship and mechanical knowledge, contributing directly to the success of our fabrication operations.

Responsibilities

Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately produce metal components.
Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards.
Use measuring tapes to ensure precise dimensions and tolerance
Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and oxygen fuel torches safely and efficiently for cutting and assembling structural steel
Fabricate metal parts by cutting, welding, and assembling components as specified in detail shop drawings
Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all safety protocols.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction site work or fabrication shop environments with a decent understanding of metal fabrication processes.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints accurately.
Skilled in MIG welding with knowledge of AWS standards.
Familiarity with construction equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts
Mechanical knowledge combined with experience using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and oxyfuel torches
Strong understanding of safety protocols related to welding and fabrication shops with commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Basic math skills including shop math necessary for precise measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
Experience interpreting blueprints for construction projects involving metal fabrication.
