Full Job Description

Are you a talented, hard-working line cook with banquet experience? We are seeking individuals who are creative and committed to their culinary craft to work in a fast- paced kitchen. Minimum two years of experience in upscale dining, country club, or similar environment preferred. Culinary school individuals are highly- encouraged to apply.

LINE COOK RESPONSIBILITIES:

Can execute all stations including salad, grill, sauté, and fry items under pressure, while meeting presentation and timing standards.
Assists others in the kitchen and maintains a clean, well-stocked, and organized work area.
Capable of opening and closing the kitchen and cooking the lunch line Tuesday through Sunday 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Mondays Holidays and Special Events as required.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety as directed by the Department of Public Health and the Executive Chef, as well as completion of routine daily, weekly, and monthly deep cleaning tasks.
Put away delivery orders and keep product in proper date rotation.
Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in preparing for Special Club Events.
Work well with FOH staff to best serve our growing membership.
Assist dish machine operator and prep cook if needed.
Time in and out according to schedule, unless otherwise directed by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
Other responsibilities may arise as business dictates.

LINE COOK QUALIFICATIONS:

Maintain working knowledge of kitchen equipment including slicers, knives, fryers, griddle, broiler, etc.
Has good communication skills, is a team player, and works productively with others.
Previous experience with grilling, salad, sandwich preparation, sauté, and deep frying.
Able to accurately read and communicate printed tickets.
Well organized, shows a sense of urgency, and able to track multiple orders while multitasking.
Works well under pressure.
Will always demonstrate a positive attitude.

Line Cook Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length.
• Ability to lift and carry 0-25 pounds on a regular basis, throughout the shift.
• Must be able to push and pull equipment of various sizes and weights (e.g. 25lbs pot of
hot water), throughout the shift.
• Must be able to kneel, bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks.
• Requires grasping, standing, walking, repetitive motions, hearing ability and visual acuity.
