As the first Secure Residential Treatment Facility in the area, you’ll play a key role in providing essential care to patients who might not otherwise have access. Ready to make a difference? Summary of Responsibilities

The Nurse Manager plays an integral role at our Jackson House Class 1 Secure Residential Treatment Facility by working in a collaborative team environment to provide exceptional care for adults with severe and persistent mental illness. The primary role of the Nurse Manager is to provide operational and administrative oversight, communication, and coordination of all patient cases and ensuring care and services are assigned and delivered by clinical personnel appropriately as well as complying with established in-house, state, and federal regulations. Both administrative and clinical skills are necessary to ensure that all services provided are efficient and meet the expected quality of Jackson House Portland. It is a fast-paced and multifaceted position but fulfilling when operations are running smoothly, and you can see that reflected in quality of patient care and satisfaction of staff. Along with patient care oversight, the Nurse Manager will validate provider orders, follow the admissions process to ensure that it is completed in the appropriate time frame, and use their critical thinking to provide direction and support to all staff to promote patient quality of life through compassionate care. Using their knowledge, the RN will take into consideration the patient’s age, mental and behavioral health history, and cultural diversity to provide trauma informed care effectively and respectfully. Our smaller 16 bed facility ensures that the Nurse Manager can quickly connect with our staff and patients, guarantee patient dignity, and make a positive lasting impression.

Qualifications

Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Oregon.
Two (2) years of registered nursing experience in psychiatric setting required.
Two (2) years of registered nursing management or administration experience required.
Obtain and maintain current BLS CPR.
Licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order to get to and from work in all weather conditions to ensure reliability.
