Welcome Home Adultcare

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time W-2 Employee
Pay: Starting at $22.00–$24.00 per hour, based on qualifications, certifications, experience, and Resident Care Manager eligibility.

About the Position

Welcome Home Adultcare is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced caregiver to provide exceptional, person-centered care in a safe and home-like environment. We are committed to helping our residents maintain their dignity, independence, comfort, and quality of life.

Job Responsibilities

Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, mobility, transfers, and Hoyer Lift assistance when needed.
Monitor residents' physical, emotional, and behavioral well-being, reporting any changes or concerns promptly.
Administer, document, order, and refill medications in accordance with physician orders and Oregon regulations.
Coordinate care and communicate professionally with physicians, pharmacies, home health agencies, therapists, hospice providers, and families.
Maintain accurate resident records, medication documentation, and daily charting.
Help maintain a clean, safe, comfortable, and infection-controlled home environment.
Support residents with compassion while promoting dignity, independence, privacy, and quality of life.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of caregiving experience (Adult Care Home experience preferred).
Reliable, punctual, compassionate, and professional.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Comfortable caring for elderly residents and individuals with higher care needs.
Available to work Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM.
Reliable transportation is required.

Oregon Adult Care Home Requirements:

Applicants must meet or be willing to complete all Oregon Adult Care Home requirements applicable to the population served, including:

Standard Requirements:

Oregon Adult Care Home Caregiver Application and annual renewal
Oregon Background Check
Adult Care Home Employment Application
Caregiver Checklist
Mandatory Adult Abuse Reporter Training
Providing Inclusive Care Training (renewed every 24 months)
APD Caregiver Preparatory Training Workbook Certificate
Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Training (annual renewal)
Six Rights of Safe Medication Administration (before administering medications)
Pre-Service Dementia Training (for APD caregivers)
12 approved Continuing Education Units (CEUs) annually for Behavioral Health caregivers
Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance if transporting residents

Applicants serving both APD and Behavioral Health residents must complete all required training for both populations.

Additional Requirements for Caregivers Working Alone or in Charge

Before working independently or serving as the caregiver in charge, applicants must complete:

Oregon-approved Food Handler Card
Current in-person CPR and First Aid Certification
Oregon Fire and Life Safety Training (Workday transcript required)
Pre-Service Infection Prevention and Control Training
Oregon Adult Care Home English Competency Assessment (Reading and Listening)

Resident Care Manager Opportunity

Qualified applicants with leadership experience may be eligible for Resident Care Manager responsibilities and increased compensation based on qualifications and experience.
