Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring a seamless experience from appointment scheduling to follow-up care. Your energetic approach and excellent communication skills will help foster a welcoming environment, support patient needs efficiently, and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism. Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and manage all patient check-in and check-out procedures with enthusiasm and professionalism
Schedule appointments accurately using patient management software and coordinate follow-up visits or tests as needed
Maintain comprehensive electronic health records (EHR) and ensure all documentation complies with health regulation policies
Provide exceptional customer service by answering phone inquiries, addressing patient questions, and guiding clients through administrative processes
Verify insurance information, process claims, and communicate coverage details clearly to patients
Support medical staff with administrative tasks such as data entry, appointment confirmations, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
Assist in managing patient flow to optimize clinic operations and reduce wait times

Skills

Proven experience in medical office settings or dental offices with strong knowledge of medical terminology and health regulation policies
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with patient management software or EMR/EHR systems
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person
Knowledge of health insurance processes, billing procedures, and maintaining patient confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment
Experience supporting medical administrative functions such as typing reports, managing electronic health records (EHR), and handling client communication
Prior office experience in healthcare settings is preferred; dental office experience is a plus
