Wealth Management Service Specialist - Middle Office

Service Specialist (Grade 5/6)

Location: Chicago, IL (Preferred) | Sacramento, CA | San Francisco, CA
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Target Start Date: October 1

Position Overview

The Service Specialist supports clients and internal partners throughout the full account lifecycle, delivering operational support and service excellence across Trust and Investments and Service Support platforms. This role is responsible for handling account servicing requests, processing transactions, resolving client inquiries, and ensuring operational processes are completed accurately and efficiently.

The team is open to candidates with strong banking operations experience or individuals with transferable skills who demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and a desire to learn Wealth Management operations.

Key Responsibilities

Support clients and internal stakeholders throughout the account lifecycle, from onboarding through account maintenance and closure.
Process account servicing requests, documentation updates, transfers, and operational transactions.
Investigate and resolve operational issues, exceptions, and service-related inquiries.
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of client requests.
Maintain accuracy and compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Prioritize and manage multiple requests while meeting established service levels.
Participate in cross-training initiatives to support broader team coverage.
Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to operational excellence initiatives.
Deliver a high level of client service and responsiveness.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience in banking operations, financial services operations, client service, or related environments.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to navigate multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

Wealth Management, brokerage, private banking, or investment operations experience.
Exposure to account maintenance or client servicing processes.
Experience working across multiple systems and operational workflows.
Demonstrates success in a highly regulated environment.
