<Job Summary>
PVI Systems is a rapidly growing custom instrumentation and machine integrator, specifically utilizing the National Instruments/LabVIEW/TestStand and VeriStand platform. PVI’s portfolio includes designs from off-the-shelf components of vision inspection systems, data acquisition, automated test and measurement, and motion control equipment. PVI focuses on industries in electronics, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, general manufacturing, biomedical and research facilities. PVI is seeking a Entry/mid/senior level software/computer engineers with project management experience.
<Duties>
- Specific position duties will include:
- Develop applications to support our measurement and control hardware.
- Interfacing with clients to develop/refine project specifications.
- Management of engineering projects.
<Entry Level Requirements>
- Associates or Bachelor degree in Engineering or Computer Science
- 2 years software development related experience
- Ability to work in a team with other engineers
- Willing to train the right candidate
<Mid Level Requirements>
- Bachelor or Graduate degree in Engineering or Computer Science
- 5+ years solid experience developing, testing and debugging software programs. Minimum of 3 years using LabVIEW. (Should be up to date with latest version of LabVIEW currently 2026).
- Experience in NI TestStand and/or NI VeriStand are advantageous
- Familiarity of technical concepts relating to Instrumentation, Data Acquisition, Signal Conditioning & Sensors.
- A good understanding of instrument communication protocols , e.g. RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, GPIB, USB, MODBUS, LXI or TCP/IP.
- Strong communications skills.
- Detail oriented and a self-starter.
- Proven experience in software development with a strong portfolio of completed projects at mid to senior levels.
- Basic database skills with PostgreSQL, MySQL or MS SQL Server;
- Good problem-solving skills combined with clear communication abilities to articulate technical concepts effectively. <Senior Level Requirements>
- 15+ years solid experience developing, testing and debugging software programs. Minimum of 10 years using LabVIEW. (Should be up to date with latest version of LabVIEW currently 2026).
- Experience in NI TestStand and/or NI VeriStand are advantageous
- Great understanding of technical concepts relating to Instrumentation, Data Acquisition, Signal Conditioning & Sensors.
- Strong understanding of instrument communication protocols , e.g. RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, GPIB, USB, MODBUS, LXI or TCP/IP.
- Strong communications skills.
- Detail oriented and a self-starter.
- Proven experience in software development with a strong portfolio of completed projects at mid to senior levels.
- Strong database skills with PosgreSQL, MySQL or MS SQL Server; ability to write optimized queries and manage data schemas effectively.

Significant pluses:
- Hands-on experience with development using Python, C#, ActiveX, SQL and other programming languages.
- Understanding of various protocols: I2C/SPI, CAN, LIN, ARINC-429, ARINC-825, etc
- Any LabVIEW certification

- Experience in NI VeriStand

Pay: $65,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
