Full Job Description

Guam Radiology Consultants is the largest and most advanced Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology center in the Western Pacific. Our clinic operates during regular clinic hours from: 7AM – 6PM, Monday to Friday. Saturdays 7AM – 1PM may be required as needed.

JOB TITLE: Cashier

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt, Permanent Employee – Full Time

REPORTS TO: Billing Manager

DEPARTMENT: BILLING

BASIC PURPOSE: Responsible for the daily collection of co-pays, service fees (self-pay accounts). Assists the Billing Manager with projects as assigned.

NOTE: Job Descriptions may be revised to suit Business needs at any time.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (95%):

Receives payments of clinic fees from patients (insured and self-pay) in the form of cash, personal check or credit card.
Resolves patient inquiries related to clinic fees (co-pays, service fees, etc). Coordinates with the Billing Supervisor for the setup of payment plans as needed.
Enters and Posts payments in GRC Billing software (currently Sequel).
Maintains a cash drawer and ensures the complete accountability & tracking of all receipts and disbursements.
Prepares daily intake reports containing breakdowns of collections by payment method (cash, check, credit card) to be submitted to the Vice-Chairman and the Finance Manager.
Assists with answering inquiries by telephone if other Billing personnel are not available.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (5%):

1. Assists with special projects as needed

Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

Experience: Experience in Customer Service or as a Cashier in a medical setting preferred

Skills and Abilities: A desire to work in interventional radiology and to grow your experience and knowledge. An excellent communicator with patients and support staff. Must have a strong desire to work in a team-based environment and a willingness to learn from and teach colleagues

Hours Required: Normal department operations are Monday – Friday 7:00am – 6:00pm, Saturday 7:00am – 1:00pm. Emergency work hours occasionally needed to satisfactorily complete job duties.

License/Certificates/Agreements: Non-Disclosure & Non-Solicitation Agreement, Basic Life Saving (BLS) Certification

100% patient satisfaction with the payment process
Organized and accurate log of daily collections.
Zero instances of cash overages and shortages
100% accurate tracking of all receipts and disbursements from cash drawer.
