Full Job Description

Lotte Hotel Guam is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our Finance and Accounting team. This position will provide administrative and accounting support in the daily operations of the department, including invoice processing, data entry, filing, reconciliation, and maintaining accurate financial records.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is interested in developing a career in accounting and gaining hands-on experience in the hotel and hospitality industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with processing invoices, purchase orders, receiving records, and other accounting documents.
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Enter invoices and financial information accurately into the accounting system.
Verify invoices and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
Assist with matching purchase orders, receiving records, and supplier invoices.
Assist with preparing payment vouchers and other payment documentation.
Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting files and records.
Assist with supplier statement reconciliation and follow up on discrepancies.
Assist with bank and account reconciliations as assigned.
Perform routine data entry and filing of financial documents.
Assist with month-end closing activities and preparation of accounting reports.
Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.
Communicate with hotel departments and suppliers regarding accounting documentation when necessary.
Provide general administrative support to the Finance Department.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Accounting Supervisor or Director of Finance.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree or coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Previous accounting, bookkeeping, office administration, or data-entry experience preferred but not required.
Recent graduates and candidates seeking to begin a career in accounting are encouraged to apply.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles is preferred.
Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and develop accounting skills in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous hotel or hospitality experience.
Coursework or education in Accounting or Finance.
Experience with Excel, accounting software, or financial systems.
Familiarity with invoices, purchase orders, receipts, or basic bookkeeping.
