Full Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

The Accounting Clerk will be primarily responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of financial records. This role also involves effectively performing office clerical duties and establishing operational efficiencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. · Manage monthly and quarterly financial close deliverables, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations and data entry.

· Create, maintain, update, and adhere to standardized operational procedures and internal controls.

· Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure operational efficiencies.

· Identify potential areas for process improvement and track projects through completion.

· Establish business relationships to maintain account compliance.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

· 1 to 2 years of previous experience in accounting

· Accounting Degree a plus

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

· Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision.

· Able to meet tight deadlines.

· Strategic thinker, solutions driven, and takes initiative.

· Strong written and verbal communications skills.

· Excellent administration, problem solving and organizational skills.

· Attention to detail and effective time management skills.

· Ability to prepare a variety of documents including various status and other reports.

· Ability to read, comprehend, interpret, prepare, edit, and revise various documents.

· Ability to work effectively within a team and able to interact with employees at different levels.

· Creative, innovative and outside the box thinker.

· Strong computer skills to include proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

· Must be skilled in spreadsheet development.

· Experience in ERP modules such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Cash.
