Position Summary

The Front Office Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service throughout the guest experience. This position performs all front desk operations, including guest check-in and check-out, room assignments, reservations assistance, and handling guest inquiries while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and professionalism.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Welcome guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
Process guest arrivals and departures efficiently and accurately.
Assign guest rooms and ensure room preferences and special requests are accommodated whenever possible.
Provide information regarding hotel services, amenities, dining options, and local attractions.
Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns.
Maintain accurate guest records and process payments in accordance with hotel procedures.
Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
Handle reservations, room changes, and billing inquiries.
Promote hotel services and amenities to enhance the guest experience.
Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk environment.
Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous hotel front desk or customer service experience preferred.
Experience with Opera Property Management System (PMS) preferred.
Knowledge of a second language is an advantage.
Strong computer and administrative skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions

Must be available to work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, overnight shifts, and overtime as business demands require.
Requires prolonged periods of standing, walking, and computer use.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Must maintain a professional appearance and adhere to hotel grooming standards.
