About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer Advisor to lead process design, mapping, and quality assurance efforts across the organization. In this role, you will set the vision and strategy for process discipline, partnering with enterprise leaders to identify best-known methods, streamline operations, and drive measurable, sustainable improvement. This is a strong fit for a strategic thinker who enjoys translating complex workflows into clear, standardized, and scalable processes.

What You'll Do

Gather information on existing processes and assess current capabilities against desired future-state capabilities.
Facilitate enterprise-level efforts to identify best-known methods and integration opportunities across teams.
Define and apply process design, mapping, and quality assurance tools and frameworks.
Conduct testing to confirm that standard processes, policies, guidelines, and templates are followed consistently.
Interpret testing results and present continuous improvement plans to senior management.
Apply mapping and streamlining techniques to implement and improve processes.
Define process metrics, establish performance baselines, and track ongoing results.
Interview associates to document current workflows and identify improvement opportunities.
Author and interpret process documentation, procedures, templates, and guidelines.
Lead and facilitate process design meetings and workshops.
Create and execute implementation plans for new or redesigned processes.
Provide post-production support, including issue management and resolution.
Identify architecture and structural design techniques to support process systems.

What You'll Bring — Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Minimum of 9 years of experience authoring and analyzing technology processes.
At least 5 years of experience implementing processes within portfolio and/or project management.
Working knowledge of process modeling languages such as XPDL (Process Definitional Language) and models such as SIPOC (Supplier, Input, Process, Output, Customer).
Solid grounding in process design, mapping, and quality tools, along with organizational change management concepts.
Familiarity with process/maturity frameworks such as ITIL, CMMI, Six Sigma, or COBIT.
Green Belt Six Sigma certification strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of portfolio management software.

Preferred Skills & Experience

Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent preferred.
5+ years of progressive project management experience, ideally within healthcare or insurance.
Demonstrated expertise in project planning, risk management, and stakeholder reporting.
Experience leading multi-departmental or cross-functional projects and initiatives.
Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Proven ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.
Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
Comfortable operating independently, managing competing priorities, and meeting time-sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of Puerto Rico health insurance regulations, health plan operations, Medicaid/Medicare programs, or payer-side project delivery is highly desirable.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and project financial tracking tools.
Fully bilingual (English/Spanish) — Spanish proficiency is essential for effective communication with stakeholders and end users.

Work Schedule & Location

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, averaging 40 hours per week; schedule adjusted according to business and project needs.
Additional hours, including occasional weekends, may be required — particularly during technology transitions occurring outside normal business hours.
Hybrid work model: onsite 1–4 days per week.
Candidates must be located within a commutable distance and able to work onsite with prior-day notice.

Pay: From $40.00 per hour
