Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mortgage and financial services and possess excellent communication skills to assist clients in securing loans.

Duties

Receive orientation calls, offering them the services and offers of the institution; highlighting the advantages of these over the competition and alternatives for their clients.
Promote the services and products of our institution by telemarketing to potential clients of EMI Equity Mortgage Inc. From previous years, private companies, government and any other potential client as assigned.
Prepare a report of calls made and keep track of the customers contacted. Always keep the database updated .
You should make an average of 6 to 10 calls per hour or \ and a minimum of 50 calls per day. Calls can be "Inbound" or "Outbound".
Coordinate appointments between clients and account executives. Confirm this appointment with both parties the day before.
Keep up to date with the Processor and the originator about the status of each case.
Attend all training meetings offered by the company within or outside of working hours. They will be notified no later than the day before.
Attend all meetings scheduled in the production department.
Comply with state, federal and CIF laws that govern the mortgage market, complying with the minimum required documents, such as RESPA, ECOA, TILA, identity verification, etc.
Demonstrate and maintain integrity in the transactions of the company and with the company.
Keep the VP of production and his supervisor of Telemarketing up to date of the efforts that are being made and cases that originate, make the recommendations verbally or through written reports.
Get carried away with the established sales and introduction format, but don't limit yourself. Always be dynamic and go beyond the established goals.
Assist colleagues, other departments, and perform other jobs as needed.
Any other required task.

Requirements

MLO License***
Minimum of 2 years in the banking/housing industry.
Fully Bilingual (Written and Oral).
Good judgment in decision making.
Capacity to work under pressure.
Work in an organized manner.
Work as a team
Knowledge with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
Knowledge of laws and regulations of the local and national industry, regulation of the commissioner of financial institutions.
Knowledge of rules and regulations of the FHA, veterans, rural development, MGIC, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the different mortgage loan programs available in the company.
Know how to persuade and be skilled in sales.
Know how to work with little supervision.
Know how to handle documents with confidential information.
