Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Front-End Supervisor to oversee daily operations at the checkout area. This role ensures smooth transactions, efficient service, and a positive customer experience while leading a team of cashiers. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for working in a fast-paced farm market environment.
This position averages 30-40 hours per week, with scheduling based on business needs and seasonal demand.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Staff Supervision:

Oversee front-end staff, including cashiers and baggers, ensuring excellent customer service.

Train, coach, and mentor employees to follow proper checkout procedures and policies.

Manage employee scheduling and breaks to maintain efficient workflow.

Address customer concerns and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
Operations & Cash Management:

Ensure cash registers are balanced at the start and end of each shift.

Monitor and maintain the accuracy of transactions, refunds, and voids.

Enforce loss prevention policies and proper handling of cash and card transactions.

Keep checkout stations clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Customer Service & Store Experience:

Lead by example by providing outstanding customer service and fostering a welcoming shopping environment.

Assist customers with inquiries, product recommendations, and problem resolution.

Handle escalated customer complaints with professionalism and efficiency.

Ensure front-end promotions, signage, and displays are up to date.
