Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, testing, and integration of electrical systems while providing technical leadership on complex engineering projects. This position requires a motivated professional who can work independently, collaborate across disciplines, and mentor junior engineers.

Duties

Design, develop, and analyze electrical systems and components for commercial and government projects.
Create and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
Perform electrical calculations, system analysis, and component selection.
Support prototype development, testing, troubleshooting, and system validation.
Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with mechanical, software, manufacturing, and project management teams throughout project lifecycles.
Prepare technical reports, engineering documentation, and design packages.
Review the work of junior engineers and provide technical guidance and mentorship.
Participate in customer meetings, technical reviews, and design presentations.
Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes and design efficiency.
Support proposal development and technical cost estimating when required.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
6-10 years of professional electrical engineering experience.
Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design.
Experience creating electrical schematics and technical documentation.
Proficiency with electrical design and CAD software.
Experience troubleshooting electrical systems and supporting product testing.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Ability to obtain and maintain any required government security credentials.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Experience supporting U.S. Government or DoD programs.
Experience with PCB design, embedded systems, or FPGA development.
Knowledge of power distribution, controls, instrumentation, or communications systems.
Experience with system integration and environmental testing.
