Billing Manager – Onsite (Wound Care Division)

Location: Ft Lauderdale, FL

Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Billing Manager to oversee the full back‑office billing operations for our wound care division. This role requires deep expertise in high‑volume medical billing, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage revenue operations across multiple entities with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily revenue cycle operations for wound care services, including charge entry, coding review, claim submission, payment posting, and denial management.
Manage billing workflows across several entities, ensuring compliance and timely processing.
Lead and support the back‑office billing team; establish clear performance expectations and quality standards.
Utilize Waystar and other billing platforms to monitor claim status, resolve issues, and optimize reimbursement.
Generate, analyze, and present Excel-based financial and operational reports (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, dashboards).
Ensure credentialing information is accurate and up to date for all providers.
Maintain strict attention to detail to prevent errors, reduce denials, and improve revenue capture.
Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure documentation supports accurate billing.
Identify process gaps and implement improvements to streamline workflow and enhance revenue performance.

Required Qualifications

3–5+ years of Revenue Cycle Management experience, preferably in wound care or specialty care.
Proven experience managing high-volume billing operations.
Strong proficiency in Waystar.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reporting).
Experience working with multiple entities and complex billing structures.
Strong understanding of medical billing, coding, payer rules, and reimbursement methodologies.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Credentialing experience preferred.

Preferred Skills

Wound care billing experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer guidelines.
Ability to work onsite and collaborate closely with clinical and administrative teams.
