Head Chef / Kitchen Manager – Lucky T Ranch Restaurant

Job Summary

Lucky T Ranch Restaurant is seeking an experienced Head Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen operations and deliver high-quality, home-style meals our guests know and love.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily kitchen execution, managing and developing the team, and maintaining consistency, efficiency, and food quality. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in running an organized, high-performing kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

Kitchen Leadership & Team Development

Lead, train, and manage kitchen staff to ensure strong performance and teamwork
Set expectations for quality, consistency, and cleanliness
Create a positive, accountable kitchen culture
Provide coaching and support to develop team members

Food Preparation & Quality Control

Prepare and oversee the preparation of menu items with consistency and attention to detail
Ensure all dishes meet presentation, portion, and quality standards
Maintain high standards for taste, freshness, and execution

Kitchen Operations

Oversee daily kitchen operations and workflow to ensure efficiency
Maintain organized, clean, and fully stocked workstations
Ensure timely ticket execution during high-volume service

Inventory, Ordering & Cost Control

Monitor inventory levels and order food and supplies as needed
Control food costs, minimize waste, and maintain proper portioning
Manage product rotation and storage procedures

Menu Development & Execution

Assist with menu planning, specials, and recipe development
Ensure consistency in recipes and preparation methods

Food Safety & Compliance

Enforce all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
Ensure compliance with local health regulations
Maintain a safe and organized kitchen environment

Requirements

Previous experience as a Head Chef, Kitchen Manager, or Lead Cook preferred
Strong leadership and team management skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Solid understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations
Strong communication and organizational skills
Dependable, hands-on, and team-oriented

Schedule

Full-time position
Must be available to work nights, weekends, and peak business hours
